(167) Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple

Matthew 24:1-2, Mark 13:1-2, Luke 21:5-6

      [A]Jesus went out and left the temple. As He was leaving, some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts. His disciples came to Him, pointing out the buildings of the temple. “Master,” one said, “Look what great stones and buildings.”

      [B]But Jesus said to them, “Do you see all these things, these great buildings? Truly, I tell you, the days will come when all these things you now see will be torn down. Not one stone will be left upon another.”

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
